Jeri Bjarko, FNP-C
Jeri’s love for medicine began in her youth, admiring her pediatrician. She became certified as a Medical Assistant and joined Honor Health Scottsdale Shea Medical Center where she spent the next 17 years moving from Labor & Delivery unit secretary, patient care technician and surgical scrub technician. Once she earned her RN degree at Scottsdale Community College, Jeri worked as an RN in Labor and Delivery and High-Risk Antepartum while earning her BSN through Grand Canyon University.
She returned to Grand Canyon University to obtain her Master’s degree as a Family Practice Nurse Practitioner Certified, graduating as a member of Sigma Theta Tau and a member of American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
“Working in primary care, I get the opportunity to encourage patients to live life to the fullest by educating them on disease prevention and maintaining good health habits,” said Jeri. “Life can be hard enough, so taking care of yourself should be easy and accessible.” She has also grown to enjoy aesthetics, becoming Botox Injection Certified through the National Laser Institute.
In her free time, Jeri, along with her husband, two children and dog, can be found enjoying camping and hiking or cheering the kids on the soccer or football field. During her precious time alone she turns to yoga, reading, hiking…and is contemplating taking golf lessons.
